Cyber Security Engineer

He is an experienced Senior Cyber Security Engineer with over 12 years of expertise in network security, cybersecurity operations, and cloud-based platforms. Holding a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Suwon University, I have a strong technical foundation and a proven track record of managing and securing complex IT infrastructures. Currently, at LG CNS Europe BV in the Netherlands, I am responsible for operating and managing Security Operations Centers (SOC) within ICT data centers and branches across Europe, ensuring the security of data and systems on cloud-based platforms such as AWS and Azure. My expertise extends to managing Security Infrastructure including SIEM, UTM, Web-proxy, IAM, Firewall, IPS, and SASE, to ensure the highest levels of security compliance and operational effectiveness. Previously, at Dupont Korea, I served as Site IT Leader, where I was accountable for the governance of IT processes, policies, and standards, as well as managing IT supplier contracts and cloud security infrastructure. At DHL Korea, I played a pivotal role in the construction of DHL’s Asian Hub network at Incheon Airport, managing network security operations and executing security frameworks for the WAN/LAN network, asset systems, and security projects. My early career at SHINHAN DS involved working in SOC and CERT teams, responding to Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) using IPS, Firewall, EDR, and SIEM. In addition to my security operations experience, I have a strong background in cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, with hands-on expertise in network management, IAM, VPN, and Runbook Automation. I have designed and implemented key security projects, including the LG CHEM Europe Cloud Security Hub Center, DHL Data Center Establishment, and SHINHAN Bank DC/SOC Migration, where I led teams and managed SOC migrations, network security systems, and security infrastructure development. I am well-versed in security frameworks, including ISO27001, Korean ISMS, and Financial Supervisory Service Regulations, ensuring compliance and protection of critical data across various organizations. His technical skills also extend to scripting languages such as Python and Bash, and I hold certifications in CCNA, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. With strong project management capabilities and a commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest security technologies, I am passionate about ensuring robust cybersecurity and delivering successful projects within complex IT environments.
