Data Engineer
Job Description
- We are looking for a SeniorDataEngineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, optimising, and maintaining scalable and robust data pipelines.
- You will work with large-scale data processing, implement cloud-based solutions, and ensure high-quality data integration and workflows that provide business value for our clients.
- Your expertise will be key in designing and implementing cloud-native data platforms, creating efficient data models, and leading initiatives to ensure that our data solutions are optimised for performance, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and Building Data Pipelines: Lead the design and development of ETL/ELT workflows to integrate and process data from diverse sources, ensuring seamless data flow across platforms.
- Cloud-based Data Engineering: Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based data platforms in environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP, using cloud-native tools and best practices.
- Data Modelling and Architecture: Create and maintain scalable data architectures, build data models, and ensure the performance and reliability of systems for analytics and reporting.
Key Requirements
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record in designing and building data pipelines in a professional environment.
- Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Strong ability to design solutions to complex data challenges, focusing on scalability and maintainability.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers, promoting excellence in data engineering practices.
- Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or GCP Professional Data Engineer) are a plus.
