Job Description
- We are seeking a System Engineer to join our team in Romania. This role involves developing cutting-edge technologies in the fields of defence and space.
- The successful candidate will apply model-based methodologies to analyze, design, develop, and validate systems.
- The role includes capturing customer needs, defining requirements, and proposing solutions that meet these needs by designing system architectures and ensuring compliance through verification and testing.
- You will also be involved in managing technical and business risks and ensuring traceability between system architecture, design, and requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Apply model-based methodologies to system analysis, design, development, and validation.
- Capture customer needs and translate them into technical requirements (Stakeholder and System Level Requirements) and feasible solutions by proposing an appropriate architecture.
- Define the system-level architecture and design within an architectural framework, using appropriate modeling tools.
- Demonstrate system performance through verification and testing.
- Ensure consistency across the system lifecycle, managing sub-systems and trade-offs considering various constraints (e.g., performance, safety, optimization).
- Provide traceability between architecture, design, and requirements.
- Manage and resolve transversal technical and business risks and issues, considering aspects such as reusability, optimization, risks, safety, and performance.
- Develop and validate system specifications using Requirement-Based Engineering (RBE) or Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE).
- Define system requirements using tools like DOORS/CAMEO and allocate them across systems.
- Participate in Integration, Verification, and Validation (IVV) activities for systems.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering, particularly in delivering complex ITC systems, including infrastructure and software projects.
- Strong knowledge of MBSE (Model-Based System Engineering) with experience in one or more architectural frameworks (e.g., DODAF, NAF) being an advantage.
- Proficiency in high-level modeling languages like SysML and UML.
- Experience using Sparx Enterprise (preferable).
- Experience in requirements engineering and using tools like DOORS is a plus.
- Ability to clearly document and explain complex technical issues.
- Familiarity with working in an agile development environment.
