Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and data models for IT applications, ensuring the integration of data from multiple sources, and providing both corrective and evaluative maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Power BI Dashboard Development: Build and maintain business intelligence data models and dashboards as per project priorities and requirements.
- Data Integration: Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI, including relational databases, JSON, and website analytics.
- BI Dashboard Optimization: Optimize the performance of Power BI reports, focusing on query folding, visual optimization, and data model minimization.
- Change Management: Address change requests and provide maintenance as per the Change Advisory Board’s requirements and agreed schedules.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT unit officials and project managers to ensure the timely delivery of BI reports and dashboards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 14 years of experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Power BI, DAX Query, SQL, M Query, Power Query, and other data analysis tools.
- Experience in Power BI data modeling and ETL processes, both on-premises and in the cloud.
- Familiarity with Power BI administration, including gateways, user/report access, and workspaces.
- Experience in Power BI report performance optimization.
- Knowledge of integrating various data sources into Power BI (e.g., relational databases, JSON).
- Additional Tools: Experience with GitLab or similar version control tools.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data and translate it into actionable visualizations.
