Job Description
We are seeking an experienced full time Generalist Data Warehouse Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data warehouse tools, technologies, and methodologies, and will be able to work independently to design, develop, and maintain effective data warehouse solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements
- Design and develop efficient data warehouse solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies
- Create ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources
- Develop data models & schemas to support business intelligence and reporting needs
- Monitor and optimize performance of data warehouse environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and user guides
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration and data quality issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data warehousing and business intelligence
- Play a crucial role in pushing our existing Data Warehouse solutions to the next level.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, and BI
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, and other database platforms
- General experience with ETL tools such as Informatica Power Center or Informatica Cloud.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts such as star schema, snowflake schema, and dimensional modeling
- Proficiency in SQL is a must, further scripting languages such as Python is a plus
- Knowledge of BI-tool such as: SAP BO, QlikSense, Tableau or Quicksight
- Ideally first experience with cloud-based data warehousing (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Fluently in Dutch and English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Experience in the financial and automotive sector is a plus
