Job Description
To carry out this assignment, we are looking for an expert portfolio manager for the selection and implementation of a Portfolio & Project Management tool. As a Portfolio Manager PPM tooling, you are responsible for aligning the organization in terms of the match between Portfolio processes & data on the one hand and PPM Tooling on the other. You are involved in the entire PPM Tooling project and provide a detailed description of the current and future needs of the tool.
Responsibilities
- You will lead workshops, organize and manage the meetings necessary to gather the information and establish the deliverables necessary to define the project, in accordance with the client’s standards and methodology More concretely, you will organize meetings and workshops to understand and map the client’s business processes, Prepare documents needed to define the process so that they can be used directly by the analysts to implement a PPM solution, and ensure that the implemented solution matches the solution described in consultation with the Business.
- You will also coach the PMO Community in the adoption of processes and tools.
- During the execution of the assignment, you report to the person responsible for the R&D department and you work closely with the employees of the R&D department.
- Throughout the process, you pass on the necessary knowledge to one or more employees, so that they gain the necessary experience to further evolve the Portfolio and Project methodology themselves.
- The expert portfolio manager PPM tooling must do this within the scope, with the highest quality and within the foreseen time and price.
Skills
- You have proven expertise in Portfolio Management processes, with knowledge of Lean Portfolio Management.
- You have experience in combining agile principles with a standard (waterfall) project methodology.
- You will work closely with the staff within the R&D department and with a focus on the involvement of the various stakeholders within the various departments.
- You have excellent communication skills and can convey complex information in a clear and understandable way.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can come up with creative solutions.
- You have a lot of experience in preparing, supervising and facilitating workshops.
- You are stress resistant and can handle tight deadlines and high pressure.
- Experience in the public sector is a plus.
- Experience working for the NIHDI is a plus.
