Responsibilities:
- Managing system and network administration tasks, including virtual machine building, deployment, and management.
- Configuring and troubleshooting Linux services such as network/firewall setup, DNS, MySQL, Postfix, and custom daemons.
- Performing routine and emergency maintenance of Linux machines, including security patches, software deployments, and updates.
- Administering in-house .deb packaging and managing apt repository servers.
- Developing automation scripts for managing local services and syncing/updating machine info and statistics with a dedicated platform’s web app.
- Developing web applications for admin and user dashboards using Perl, Shell scripting, and JavaScript.
- Managing mail server routing, including using buffer servers, throttling, and transport-based rotating IP setups.
- Providing support and troubleshooting for Linux services, responding to tickets, and offering remote/on-call assistance.
- Installing and maintaining software on various equipment, configuring OS, and providing on-site troubleshooting and remote support.
- Setting up and maintaining network configurations, including routers, switches, and NAS setups.
- Performing network infrastructure management, cabling, and network configuration for multiple OS environments.
- Overseeing the workflow and quality control of network infrastructure teams for large-scale projects.
- Providing IT support, including data backup, restoration, and recovery on Windows servers and workstations.
- Supporting VoIP equipment setup and maintenance for internal communications.
