Azure Engineer (SN0371)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Azure Engineer to design, develop, and implement data solutions and pipelines within an Azure cloud environment.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, cloud architecture, and distributed systems, with a focus on Azure-based services.
- This role requires a deep understanding of big data processing, MDM solutions, and dimensional modeling to support scalable and efficient data architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and data solutions in Azure cloud.
- Implement ETL workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
- Work with various Azure services such as Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure Cognitive Search, and Elasticsearch to build and maintain data solutions.
- Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions using dimensional modeling on platforms like Snowflake or Redshift.
- Implement MDM (Master Data Management) solutions in medium to large-scale environments.
- Work with large, complex datasets, ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Apply knowledge of distributed systems to enhance performance and scalability.
- Utilize programming skills in JavaScript, Python, Scala, or other related frameworks.
- Follow best practices in software development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and SDLC.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions.
Qualifications
- BA/BS or Master’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Azure cloud data engineering, including building and optimizing data solutions.
- 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Scala, or related frameworks.
- 5+ years of experience working with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure Cognitive Search, Elasticsearch, and SQL Server.
- 3+ years of experience implementing MDM (Master Data Management) solutions in corporate environments.
- 2+ years of experience with Dimensional Modeling in cloud-based data warehouse solutions like Snowflake or Redshift.
