Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to lead and oversee IT asset and configuration management processes.
- In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing IT asset and configuration management policies to support the organization’s IT strategy.
- You will play a key role in CMDB governance, ensuring best practices are followed and aligned with ITIL standards
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine IT processes related to IT asset and configuration management.
- Manage and implement configuration management policies and processes in alignment with the IT strategy.
- Establish a formal CMDB governance model and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date IT infrastructure, applications, and service data within the CMDB.
- Drive CMDB transformation to align with ITIL best practices.
- Work closely with CMDB solution providers to define and implement control mechanisms for Configurable Items (CIs).
- Coordinate and oversee strategic IT projects related to configuration and asset management.
- Review and ensure service delivery meets agreed-upon targets, implementing improvements when necessary.
- Provide expert guidance on configuration management and recommend solutions to optimize processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, consultants, and service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience managing ITIL processes, with a focus on IT Asset, Change, Release, and Configuration Management.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is required.
