We are seeking a Surveyor to join our team of engineering experts. In this role, you will independently visit sites, inspect vessels in service, and assess equipment and components within the marine industry.
You will be involved in high-risk surveys, evaluate engineering assets, and provide solutions for complex and demanding situations. Responsibilities:
Conduct surveys on vessels and marine equipment, assessing design, production, and in-service performance.
Lead high-risk surveys and provide technical solutions for engineering challenges.
Assess engineering issues and find alternative solutions using both theoretical and practical methods.
Develop cost structures for clients, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets. Requirements:
A degree in engineering or a related field (BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng), or equivalent qualifications in a marine or nautical discipline with relevant sea-going experience.
Experience as a marine surveyor with other IACS Class Societies is highly desirable.
Sea-going experience as a Chief Engineer or Second Engineer is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in ship engines and other machinery systems. Technical Skills:
