CMDB Specialist (SN0410)
Job Description
We are looking for a CMDB Specialist to manage and optimize the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data integrity, high availability, and efficient performance.
- In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and improving CMDB systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to align IT asset management with business objectives.
- You will also mentor junior team members and enforce best practices in CMDB management and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize CMDB performance, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex CMDB-related issues, including data inconsistencies, integration failures, and performance bottlenecks.
- Implement and enhance CMDB features and automation tools to improve system functionality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT teams, service owners, and stakeholders to maintain an accurate and up-to-date CMDB.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL frameworks and best practices for configuration and asset management.
- Develop and enforce governance policies and data validation procedures for CMDB management.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on best practices and effective use of CMDB tools.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in CMDB management, IT Asset Management, or Configuration Management.
- ITIL frameworks, particularly Configuration Management and IT Service Management (ITSM).
- CMDB tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Atrium, or other ITSM platforms.
