Job Description

We are looking for a System Support Engineer to provide end-user support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure seamless IT-OT integration in a manufacturing environment.

  • This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, managing servers and storage systems, and ensuring high availability of IT resources.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, experience in enterprise IT support, and familiarity with manufacturing IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral devices (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows, macOS, Linux, and enterprise applications.
  • Assist users with password resets, account unlocks, and access management.
  • Perform system imaging, software installation, and updates for end-user devices.
  • Set up, configure, and support meeting room equipment (AV systems, projectors, etc.).
  • Manage and maintain on-site servers, storage systems, and backup solutions.
  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance of compute, storage, and network resources.
  • Monitor and proactively address IT infrastructure issues to prevent downtime.
  • Deploy and maintain IT applications as per organizational needs.
  • Provide IT infrastructure support in manufacturing plants, ensuring seamless integration with OT systems.
  • Troubleshoot PCD/OT environments, including industrial networks, SCADA systems, and control devices.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure secure and reliable IT-OT connectivity.
  • Act as the first point of contact for on-site IT issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve IT processes and security measures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in system administration and IT support, preferably in manufacturing or plant environments.
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy management.
  • networking concepts (LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS, VLANs) and tools.
  • virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • ServiceNow, ticketing systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • IT infrastructure and familiarity with OT/PCD systems (SCADA, PLC, DCS).
  • cloud platforms (Azure, VMware)
  • endpoint security, data protection measures, and IT-OT security convergence.
