Job Description
We are looking for a Storage Engineer to design, implement, and optimize storage infrastructure for managing large volumes of data.
- This role involves administering storage systems, enhancing performance, ensuring data protection, and working with high-volume data environments such as imaging, videos, and big data.
- You will play a key role in optimizing existing assets, implementing backup solutions, and ensuring data integrity through immutability and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Storage Infrastructure Management: Oversee the implementation, administration, and optimization of storage solutions.
- Data Center Storage Optimization: Enhance storage bay management for efficient resource utilization.
- High-Volume Data Management: Work with PACS storage linked to imaging and manage large-scale data environments.
- Backup & Data Protection: Implement backup solutions, data immutability, and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and security.
- Storage Architecture Expertise: Manage and optimize SAN, NAS, FC, and iSCSI architectures.
- Storage System Administration: Work with NetApp solutions (ONTAP, SnapMirror, MetroCluster, etc.) for high-performance storage environments.
- Virtualization & Cloud Integration: Support storage solutions in virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud setups.
- Continuous Improvement: Optimize existing storage assets and implement infrastructure enhancements for long-term efficiency.
- Vendor & Service Provider Collaboration: Manage external vendors while developing internal expertise in storage technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Storage administration and infrastructure optimization.
- NetApp storage solutions (ONTAP, SnapMirror, MetroCluster).
- Storage architectures (SAN, NAS, FC, iSCSI) and data management
- Experience in backup solutions, data immutability, and disaster recovery strategies.
