We are seeking a skilled VMware Engineer with hands-on experience in managing virtual environments and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for trading and control room operations.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware-based solutions while ensuring high availability and performance across systems, particularly in trading environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain VMware farms, including the creation and provisioning of trader-specific virtual machines.
- Provide technical support for trading room and control room, addressing application and infrastructure-related issues.
- Install, configure, and support specialized stock exchange applications (e.g., Bloomberg, Joule, Eikon, Web ICE) for the trading room.
- Deploy and manage applications specific to control room operations, such as PEG Manager, MITO, Infocert, and Actalis Digital Certificates.
- Administer Cloud9 trading phone systems.
- Configure and update Thin Clients (Praim, HP, Dell Wyse 7030).
- Oversee control room systems including Fujitsu ETERNUS DX80 storage, and various physical and virtual servers.
- Manage additional VMware environments and disaster recovery infrastructure.
- Ensure 24/7 availability for urgent implementations and support in the control room.
