Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for a Systems Infrastructure Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Vienna, Austria. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises.
- In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining secure IT systems and infrastructure.
- Provide advice to management on implementing secure IT systems and best practices.
- Design and implement secure Windows based IT solutions.
- Troubleshoot Windows and other server hardware and software related issues.
- Ability to provide 3rd level support to Service Desk in response to work requests and incident reports.
- Manage Projects regarding secure server infrastructure.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in IT.
- Minimum 5 years of experience installing, configuring customizing, upgrading troubleshooting and managing software systems.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Configuration Management.
- Experience of ITIL and knowledge of industry best practices and IT infrastructure and software security.
- Experience with monitoring systems like SolarWinds and Microsoft Systems Centre Operations Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of Virtualization Platforms, Servers Administration, Active Directory, Kerberos Authentication, Hyperconverged Systems.
- Very good knowledge of IT security, Enterprise Architecture, IT Disaster Recovery, ITIL.
- The following certificates would be considered a valuable asset: ITIL Certification, PMP or Prince2.
- Excellent command of the English language.
