We are looking for an experienced Documentation Specialist to join our team.
- This role involves drafting and maintaining a variety of technical and non-technical documentation to support product development, training, and change management activities.
- The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editing skills, a solid understanding of technical concepts, and experience in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation Creation: Draft comprehensive product and project documentation, including technical manuals, user guides, operational documentation, and functional specifications.
- Training Materials Development: Prepare clear and engaging training materials to support project and product implementations. Ensure training content aligns with project goals and user needs.
- Document Maintenance: Maintain and update existing documentation for accuracy and consistency. Ensure easy retrieval and optimal use of all documents.
- Technical Writing: Write and update operational guides, technical manuals, business requirements documents, and other essential documentation for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Guidelines and Instructions: Develop guidelines, instructions, and procedures that facilitate understanding and usage of complex systems or processes.
- Training and Change Management: Coordinate and moderate training sessions as part of change management activities. Work closely with project teams to identify training needs based on the impact of changes.
- Content Review & Quality Assurance: Participate in peer reviews to ensure content accuracy and consistency. Edit and proofread documents, ensuring clarity and adherence to established guidelines.
- Multimedia Content Creation: Create “How-To” videos, presentations, and other multimedia content to complement written documentation and provide varied learning modalities.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Track and report on the effectiveness of training programs. Gather feedback to improve training materials and delivery.
Requirements
- Educational Background: University degree in IT or a related field, combined with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in IT documentation.
- Experience in Documentation: Proven experience in drafting and maintaining a range of technical and non-technical documents such as product manuals, user guides, functional specifications, and operational manuals.
