This aims to contract one consultant (that will work on site) to support the team in realizing several tasks all related to future energy scenarios, R&D, with focus on market studies and market modelling frameworks.
Previous experience in market simulation is a plus (for instance, using an economic dispatch tool like ANTARES). Client is therefore looking for a pro-active, “data geek” and “energy geek”.
The candidate should have knowledge of data mining, data gathering/processing (in VBA, Excel, R/Python), data visualization and ideally an economic dispatch tool such as ANTARES.
Perform Cost Benefit Analysis of new interconnectors
This task include the usage of the existing toolchain, building and updating market models and updates of previous analysis from / within the Federal Development Plan work
Learn and use the flow-based domain toolchain, including building and updating appropriate models and scripts
Calculation of flow-based domains for adequacy and market studies
Contribution to the SMA work within the ‘Production Vectors’ process
Other tasks
Usage and improve when possible tools in R/Python/VBA/Excel in order to input/adapt parameters in the team’s simulation tools.
Calculate flow-based domains using the existing toolchain. create visualization using existing tools to assess quality and validity. include flow-based domains as binding constraints in market and adequacy ANTARES models
Prepare ‘Production Vectors’ results to other teams within the define templates and formats
