Job Description
The Geomaticus / Geo-Architect plays a key role in designing and managing spatial data systems, geospatial infrastructures, and GIS-based applications that support data-driven decision-making in urban planning, environmental monitoring, transportation, land management, or infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement spatial data architectures and geo-information systems aligned with business and project needs.
- Develop geospatial applications and web mapping services using tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Mapbox, Leaflet, etc.
- Integrate satellite imagery, LIDAR, drone data, and GPS data into GIS systems for analysis and visualization.
- Manage and maintain spatial databases.
- Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and environmental scientists to incorporate spatial intelligence into project workflows.
- Lead or support spatial data infrastructure (SDI) initiatives and ensure compliance with geospatial standards (e.g., INSPIRE, OGC).
