Client is a key digital transformation agency within the Flemish Government, supporting both local and central government bodies in their transition towards a more information-driven and digital-first public service environment. The agency is evolving towards an organization with stronger horizontal and vertical integration, aiming to align its internal operations with a rapidly shifting strategic context.
Assignment Objective:
The Agile Scrum Master will facilitate high-maturity agile DevOps teams through the next phase of their transformation journey — toward strategic alignment, platform-driven synergy, and integrated delivery. This includes embedding agile methodologies, scaling practices, and aligning tooling like JIRA and Confluence. The role also involves driving culture change through structured facilitation and team coaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate Agile ceremonies and guide teams and Product Owners in translating product vision into sprint-level deliverables
Support the organization’s agile transformation through alignment, reflection, and continuous improvement
Implement the internal Operating System model focused on agility, ownership, and value creation
Ensure delivery quality and team coordination using structured PI planning and retrospective cycles
Act as a transformation enabler — not a traditional project manager — with a hands-on approach in tooling and methodology
Assist in scaling the agile model across multiple teams and departments
Coordinate with the Portfolio Management team to align practices across the organization
Required Skills and Experience (Must Have):
Should Have:
Experience in scalable Agile frameworks
Knowledge of the Flemish Government’s working environment
Familiarity with broader tooling such as Azure DevOps, MS Dynamics, and JIRA plug-ins (Tempo, Advanced Roadmaps)
