- Infrastructure Automation & Virtualization
- Design, test, and implement Ansible playbooks to prepare Virtual Machines hosted on VMware ESXi and Red Hat Linux 8/9 for:
- SAP HANA database with cascading system replication (shared-nothing topology) and Linux clustering
- SAP S/4 HANA integrated with Linux clustering
- Oracle Real Application Cluster
- Integrate automation with vCenter API for:
- VMDK creation (optionally with Multi Writer flag) from dedicated datastores
- Assigning virtual network interfaces to specified VLANs
- Creating DRS anti-affinity rules
- Configuring VMs within dedicated vCenter folders
- Linux OS Upgrade Procedures
- Design, test, and deliver procedures to update Red Hat Linux 7 VMs to Red Hat 9:
- Reinstall VM with same hostname and IP in RHEL 9 and redeploy applications
- Use Red Hat “leap” tool to update from RHEL 7 → RHEL 8 → RHEL 9
- Maintain RHEL 7 baseline via Puppet; manage RHEL 8/9 baselines through Ansible Automation Platform
Additional Engineering Activities:
- Automation and scripting with Ansible
- Integration of specific hardware and software within EP Standard Configurations
- Creation of reports, best practice documents, and technical procedures
- Preparation and delivery of trainings
- L3 support for incidents and requests related to project activities
- Occasional emergency interventions outside normal working hours
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in an ICT-related field or Bachelor’s degree plus 4 additional years of professional experience + minimum 8 years of professional experience in ICT-related domains
- Strong experience with VMware ESXi and vCenter administration, including API integration, VM provisioning, and DRS rule configuration
- In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9), including clustering and upgrade/migration procedures
- Hands-on experience hosting SAP HANA, SAP S/4 HANA, and Oracle Real Application Cluster in virtualized Linux environments
- Advanced skills in automation and orchestration using Ansible and Puppet
- Familiarity with storage engineering: SAN, NAS, and cloud storage technologies
- Experience with container technologies and modern system/server architectures
- Ability to produce technical documentation, best practice guides, and training materials
- Proven capability to provide Level 3 support for incidents and requests in relevant domains
- Flexibility to perform occasional emergency interventions outside standard working hours
- Fluent in both English/French, written and oral
