Security Engineer / Architect

Introduction:

The candidate is an experienced network and security professional with expertise in configuring and managing firewalls, switches, and wireless networks. They are highly skilled in deploying and administering Fortinet, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and TP-Link technologies, with a strong focus on network security and infrastructure auditing. The candidate has significant experience working with Security Operations Center (SOC) teams, addressing security incidents, and implementing necessary configuration changes. They have managed and executed various IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction, and possess strong documentation skills to support network configurations and procedures. Additionally, the candidate is proficient in using monitoring tools like PRTG and Netbox for equipment management. They also have experience with virtualized environments, including VMware and Citrix systems, and have provided technical support, incident resolution, and high-level customer service. Their knowledge of 3CX switchboards, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiCloud systems further showcases their broad expertise in network management and security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Configuration, deployment, and administration of Fortinet firewalls, including policies, routing, clusters, VPNs, Radius, LDAP, UTM, and DNS management.
• Management and implementation of switches from Cisco, HP, Huawei, Ubiquiti, TP-Link, and Netgear.
• Deployment and administration of WIFI networks using Fortinet, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and TP-Link technologies.
• Conduct regular network infrastructure audits to ensure compliance with security policies, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend enhancements.
• Collaborate with Security Operations Center (SOC) teams to respond to security alerts and implement configuration changes.
• Manage and execute various IT projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to client specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation to support network and security configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Resolve technical incidents and provide high-level customer service for incident resolution and support.
• Utilize PRTG monitoring tool and Netbox for equipment management and monitoring.
• Deploy and review FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, and FortiCloud systems.
• Configure, deploy, and administer 3CX switchboards.
• Manage and configure Pfsense firewalls, Cisco switches, and PBX telephone systems.
• Administer VMware servers and provide technical customer service.
• Monitor systems using Nagios and maintain systems through documentation.
• Design and implement storage systems for routing information and lossless data compression of routing tables.
• Perform helpdesk tasks and manage orders and shipments.
