Backup Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Backup Engineer to take full responsibility for managing and optimizing backup platforms.
- This role involves installation, maintenance, upgrades, and continuous monitoring of backup systems.
- You will work closely with project teams on future backup solutions, manage incident resolution, and provide third-level support for backup-related issues.
- Additionally, you will focus on process improvements, automation, and the creation of technical documentation to support operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management, installation, upgrades, and maintenance of backup platforms.
- Ensure seamless production monitoring and resolve any technical incidents related to backup systems.
- Monitor and report on backup performance, collaborating with Managed Services teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and problems, providing third-level support in a large enterprise environment.
- Develop scripts for automation and batch processes, collaborating closely with development teams.
- Create and improve operational guidelines, implementation instructions, and work instructions.
- Provide technical writing of necessary documentation according to internal regulations.
- Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes using tools such as ServiceNow.
- Implement Standard Work Requests based on AXA Services standards.
- Support and monitor backup services running on production servers, ensuring stability and continuity of services.

Qualifications
- Strong experience in Backup and Recovery platforms and related technologies.
- ITIL certification or equivalent experience in Incident, Problem, and Change Management is beneficial.
- Expertise in cloud platforms and services, including AWS, Azure Cloud, and Networking/Security.
