Responsibility
- The business analyst is responsible for setting up efficient business processes. In addition, you capture the business needs and translate them into specifications for IT systems.
- You will bridge the gap between the business and the users on the one hand and the various IT partners (functional analyst, project manager, architect, etc.) on the other, challenging all parties.
- The goal is to develop and maintain the necessary IT tools to support the business processes optimally and pragmatically.
- We are looking for a business analyst to analyze and model our Assets and Infra processes in Sparx Enterprise Architect.
- For this we use the BPMN2.0 methodology and it must be coordinated with others.
- As a business analyst Process Analyst, you will also contribute to further developing our methodology and, if necessary, coaching other Business Analysts in this.
- In addition, the business analyst can also provide support for other projects in drawing up Business Requirements.
Tasks
- Modeling the business processes and guiding the business in redesigning their processes.
- Challenging the business with regard to their needs and the to-be processes.
- Harmonising business processes across Elia’s various departments and between Elia and our German sister company 50Hz
- Identifying the business needs and translating them into supported business requirements in the form of epics / features / user stories.
- Developing the necessary business information models: these describe the information needed to realize the various requirements (e.g. interfaces, screens, reports, etc.).
- Coordinating and validating requirements between/by the business and IT.
- Validating the functional analysis of IT.
- After the implementation of a tool: testing and validating the releases, including support in UAT.
- Playing an active role in the change, including drafting training materials and providing training (to the end users) according to the existing change management methodology and supported by the change management toolkit.
- Supporting the business in the use of the IT tools during post-implementation.
Additional requirements
- Master’s degree in technical or economic direction or equivalent through experience.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a business analyst in identifying needs, drafting business requirements and drafting business processes.
- Good knowledge of English is required (reading, writing). A very good knowledge of Dutch or French is required (speaking, reading, writing), the 2and You have to be able to understand the national language.
- Strong analytical skills and you are sufficiently critical. You dare to challenge.
- Good communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Working independently and in a team. You are able to work out a consensus and convince the various stakeholders.
- Skilled in planning and organization.
- A sufficient dose of customer focus and flexibility.
- The project regarding the planning management requires a basic knowledge of MS Project (or the willingness to learn this).
- Knowledge of BPMN and UML.
- Experience using the EA (Enterprise Architect), Jira & DevOps tools is a plus.
- Experience within the electricity sector offers added value.
