Job Description
1. Connectivity and infrastructure
- Configuration of the 2 Data Gateways (Acc and Prod), necessary for exchanges between on-premise source systems (IBM DB2, IBM UDB, MS SQL Srv, Denodo, files) and the Microsoft Fabric/Power BI platform.
- Connectivity validation and technical troubleshooting support.
- The goal is to provide a robust technical foundation to fully leverage Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, while ensuring the security, maintainability, and scalability of the solution.
2. Technical Configuration and Security
- Setting up roles, logins, and security templates on Microsoft Fabric.
- Set up and administer Power BI and Fabric security groups.
- Definition of access policies and good governance practices.
3. Setting up working
- environments Creating and configuring the Development, Acceptance, and Production environments for Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
- Implementation of a release management process: deployment pipeline, version control, evolution management.
4. Define and implement ETL types and Proofs of Concept (POC)
- Design and implementation of integration flows for different scenarios:
- CSV → Data Factory → DB2 LUW → Power BI
- CSV → Data Factory → Azure SQL Database → Power BI
- CSV → Data Factory → Lakehouse (Parquet files) → Power BI
- Denodo → Power BI
- DB2 UDB → Power BI
- CSV → Data Factory → OneLake → Lakehouse → Power BI
- XML → Data Factory → OneLake → Lakehouse → Power BI
- Performance testing and documentation of points of attention (file formats, latency, volume, execution costs).
