CAD Designer (SN0343)
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to configure, test, and deploy CAD and simulation software applications.
- The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service by troubleshooting engineering software application issues and developing comprehensive engineering process documentation.
- Additionally, the role involves creating and managing scripts to facilitate data interoperability between various CAD programs and other software tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and deploy CAD and simulation software applications to meet project requirements.
- Provide customer service by troubleshooting and resolving engineering software application issues promptly.
- Develop and manage detailed engineering process documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Develop and deliver engineering software training and consulting services to global engineering teams.
- Create, manage, and update scripts to facilitate the import and export of data between different CAD programs or between CAD and other software tools, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Support, enhance, and maintain Process Design Kits (PDKs) and various Analog/Mixed-Signal design tools.
- Demonstrate knowledge of LEF, DEF, LIB, and GDS file formats.
- Develop software for automation using scripting languages such as Skill, Perl, Python, Unix Shell, and Tcl/Tk.
- Collaborate with EDA vendors to track and resolve software-related issues.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD tool evaluation, quality assurance, testing, release management, user support, and documentation.
