The CMDB Specialist is responsible for the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the IT Service Management (ITSM) framework.
This role ensures accurate configuration data to support key ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
The specialist works closely with IT operations, infrastructure, and service delivery teams to maintain data integrity and enable informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and govern the CMDB structure, relationships, and data integrity.
Ensure accurate configuration item (CI) data is collected, recorded, and maintained.
Work closely with IT Asset Management (ITAM), Change Management, and other teams to align data accuracy and CMDB health.
