The Configuration Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing configuration management processes, tools, and policies across the organization.
- This includes identifying and controlling configuration items (CIs), maintaining the integrity of configuration records, and supporting service delivery in alignment with ITIL best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and agree on the configuration items (CIs) and apply appropriate naming conventions.
- Develop and maintain secure and operational configuration management processes, including classification, verification, and auditing of CIs.
- Monitor and report service delivery performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Engage with stakeholders to prepare for service degradations or SLA breaches.
- Evaluate release components for scheduling and deployment coordination.
- Administer and support tools used for software configuration, delivery, and deployment.
