Job Description
We are seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead the development and implementation of robust data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- The ideal candidate will oversee Collibra implementation, enforce data quality standards, and drive a culture of data stewardship and accountability within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures in line with industry best practices (e.g., BCBS 239, DAMA, DCAM).
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigate data management risks.
- Drive continuous improvements in data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Collibra or similar platforms.
- Manage data dictionaries, business glossaries, data lineage, and metadata management.
- Implement data quality monitoring and governance workflows.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Partner with business, IT, and regulatory teams to define data governance roles and responsibilities.
- Foster a culture of data stewardship and accountability across the organization.
- Conduct training and awareness programs to promote data governance best practices.
- Conduct data governance assessments to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial services regulations and proactively address data-related risks.
- Lead and manage data governance, quality, and literacy programs.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in data governance and regulatory changes.
- Provide expert guidance on implementing and enhancing data governance strategies.
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Statistics.
- 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or regulatory compliance.
- Experience in financial services is a plus.
