team is responsible for the tools used by the designers and for the development of standard plans that are used by the project teams as a basis for carrying out studies.
The Tools pole of this team is in charge of the design tools. These tools currently include MicroStation & OpenUtilities Substation from Bentley Systems, but this situation is set to change (among other things in the context of the introduction of BIM in Elia’s processes).
Organization and delivery of training and workshops on design software, in person and remotely
Updating (or creating new) training materials
Assistance, problem solving and answering questions from users of design tools
Identification of training needs among direct colleagues and internal customers
Feedback on problems encountered by users for possible adaptations of the methodology
Monitoring of more complex problems: analysis, contacts with supplier support, definition of workarounds
Participation in the development of the design methodology
In collaboration with the Business Analyst in charge of design tools and the suppliers of this software: monitoring, evaluation and validation of new versions of software used in production
Based on user requests and/or needs, adaptations and optimization of design software (configuration, macros, etc.).
Service Requirements
Has a graduate/bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in technical drawing or in a technical specialty related to drawing (for example: civil engineering, electricity, automation)
Wishes to put the experience he has acquired in design software at the service of other users
Has a few years of experience in a relevant role
Has a very good command of at least one design software (2D/3D)
Is motivated to master in the medium term the design software used within Elia
