Job Description
We currently have a vacancy for a GIS Expert, fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Ispra, Italy.
- The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises.
Responsibility
- Design of specific data processing workflows solving needs of the Exposure Mapping Component of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS) to produce population density grids.
- Refinement of the downscaling workflow to improve the generation of population grids beyond the census epoch.
- Implementation of the processing workflows in distributed processing environments (parallel processing) in support of the population grid production tasks.
- Contribute to technical reports describing the experiments and revision of technical documents.
