Junior Test Engineer (SNS01733)
Job Description
The main function of the tester is to develop & perform software test plans/ test scenarios and test cases (manual testing, automation testing and performance testing).
Required Responsibilities
- Designs test scenarios, test case, scripts or procedures
- Creates traceability matrix
- Uses the available test tools, trackers & environments to execute test scripts and
- produce all the test deliverables and results
- Logs, tracks & retests defects, creates & maintains a database of known test defects
- Tests system modifications to prepare for implementation
- Creates and ensures the availability of the test data
- Keeps the test manager informed of issues affecting the schedule, budget or quality of the product and/or testing process Improves the test methodology & approach by doing lessons learnt and applying best practices.
Degree & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer engineering or other relevant direction Agile (Scrum) principles
Technical skills
- A junior tester will run tests/scripts presented with whilst a tester with slightly more experience will
- start developing scripts him/herself
- Knowledge of design techniques
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, computer hardware & software, applications and programming.
