Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and upgrade RHEL6, RHEL7, and RHEL8 environments across physical and virtual infrastructures.
- Configure, maintain, and migrate Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) clusters, including Storage Foundation, Volume Manager, Infoscale, and Cluster File System.
- Apply patches to Linux servers to address vulnerabilities and maintain system security.
- Use tools like Ansible, YAML, and Puppet to automate routine tasks and streamline system management.
- Upgrade and rebuild legacy Linux servers from RHEL6 and RHEL7 to RHEL8.
- Operate and optimize large-scale VMWare environments.
- Test and document system changes, updates, and VCS configurations for the team and stakeholders.
- Participate in change management processes, including presenting changes at board meetings.
