Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Linux Engineer to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, scripting, and automation within high-performance environments.
- This role involves collaborating with development and infrastructure teams throughout the project lifecycle, from design to production, to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux-based servers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Interface with development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and support projects and products from inception through production.
- Operate and integrate systems within high-performance environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of Linux administration (SLES, CentOS), virtualization with VMware, and products like Wildfly or PostgreSQL.
- Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools using at least two of the following: Bash, Ansible, Perl, Python.
- Utilize tools like Jenkins for configuration management and deployment automation.
- Create and maintain strong technical and procedural documentation to support system operations and processes.
- Apply ITIL and service management knowledge to ensure best practices in service delivery; certification is desirable.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Successfully completed technical studies in Computer Science, Business Information Technology, or possess similar experience (3 to 5 years).
- Experience: Proven experience in interfacing with development and infrastructure teams, managing projects or products from design to production.
