Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in lamination processes to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the development and launch of leather-containing interior components. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical feasibility of product designs and optimizing manufacturing processes for high-quality, cost-effective production.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on the technical feasibility of product designs related to lamination processes.
- Lead process development for lamination of leather, PVC, Alcantara, Dinamica, fabric, and other soft components.
- Oversee pattern development, nesting, and material utilization.
- Guide pre-treatment methods for plastic carriers, particularly Polypropylene (PP).
- Recommend appropriate adhesives and application methods.
- Develop prefixing methods for covers and carriers in the lamination process.
- Collaborate on project work, ensuring clear documentation and traceability of changes.
- Conduct technical meetings and presentations with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
- Support D&P-FMEA processes and ensure alignment with project timelines and goals.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of lamination processes and cover-materials (e.g., leather, PVC, fabric).
- Familiarity with plastic carrier pre-treatment and adhesive application methods.
- Experience with D&P-FMEA processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of CATIA V5 is a plus.
