We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team for the mechanical fitting and assembly of LV switchgear systems.
- The ideal candidate will contribute to the full installation lifecycle from mechanical assembly and fitting to testing and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical fitting and assembly of LV switchgear and associated equipment.
- Fit equipment into modular pods and underfloor plinths as per technical specifications.
- Perform heat shrinking of ducting channels prior to installation.
- Maintain project status records and provide regular progress reports.
- Direct and oversee contractors and junior staff involved in mechanical tasks.
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures and health regulations on-site.
Experience
- Experience in mechanical engineering or similar technical trade (e.g., electrician background advantageous).
- Proven knowledge in LV switchgear installation and maintenance (preferred, but full training provided).
- Hands-on experience with mechanical fitting and use of both manual and power tools.
