Job Description
We are seeking a Power BI Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and implement insightful and interactive dashboards and reports that drive data-informed decision-making. The Power BI Expert will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, transform raw data into meaningful insights, and ensure optimal utilization of Power BI capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights by creating visually appealing and user-friendly reports.
- Connect Power BI to various data sources, including SQL databases, Excel, cloud services, and APIs.
- Develop and optimize data models to support reporting requirements and performance efficiency.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Implement row-level security and other access controls to ensure data confidentiality and compliance.
- Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Optimize Power BI reports for performance and scalability by employing best practices in DAX and data modeling.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Power BI performance issues.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users on how to interact with Power BI dashboards.
- Act as the go-to expert for Power BI-related queries and support.
Qualifications
- Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience:3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development and implementation.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for creating complex calculations.
- Strong experience with data modeling and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
- Familiarity with SQL for querying and managing data sources.
- Knowledge of integrating Power BI with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Understanding of best practices in data visualization and UI/UX design.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
