Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and oversee critical SAP IT transformations within a global enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end SAP project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and collaborate with global teams to drive seamless integration. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP processes, financial reporting, and governance frameworks, as well as the ability to manage complex vendor relationships and senior stakeholders.
  • This is an initial 6-12 month B2B contract role with a leading global FMCG company. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-office work in Milan, Italy.
Responsibilities
  • Lead SAP IT transformation projects, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Collaborate with global teams to drive project milestones and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee SAP processes, including financial reporting, inter-company reconciliation, tax reporting, and statutory consolidation.
  • Ensure project adherence to governance frameworks and portfolio management methodologies.
  • Handle vendor relationships, including SLA negotiations, performance monitoring, and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to streamline operations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of SAP solutions.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
Experience
  • Proven track record as a Project Manager in enterprise-level environments.
  • Extensive experience with SAP projects, particularly in financial reporting and consolidation.
  • Familiarity with S/4 HANA is highly advantageous.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-vendor SAP projects in multinational environments.
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of SAP processes, financial reporting practices, and statutory requirements.
  • Knowledge of inter-company reconciliation, tax reporting, and statutory consolidation.
  • Familiarity with project and portfolio management methodologies and governance frameworks.
Soft Skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage senior-level stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
